Alan is the SeeHearSpeakUp and wider AAB Group's Chief Operations Officer responsible for practice management, internal finance and administration support, as well as marketing and IT.

He manages the day-to-day working and internal functions of the Group as well as the co-ordination and implementation of the firm’s detailed tactical plans and financial budgeting. As regards the firm’s strategy, there is a Strategic Action Plan in place and Alan takes the lead in two key areas of this, being Infrastructure & Support Services (creation of an outstanding operational platform) and Finance (supporting growth through Financial Discipline).

Alan trained with KPMG, qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 1989. He joined AAB following a Finance Director role at First Aberdeen Limited and prior to that having been Financial Director at Archibalds Furniture and Finance Controller at both Aberdeen Football Club and The Marcliffe Hotel Group.
